The European Brass Band Competition will take place in Tivoli Vredenburg. This unique venue is situated in the centre of the medieval city of Utrecht, and is a cultural hub for music and entertainment of all genres. Within its breathtaking walls, Tivoli Vredenburg offers numerous concert venues with perfect acoustics, suitable for symphonic music, pop, jazz, chamber music and dance, as well as cafes, bars, lounges and a restaurant.
The many spaces between these auditoriums can be used for gatherings of all kinds. The venue can accommodate a combined total of up to 7,500 people. As grand and overwhelming as the whole site may be, each separate room is marked by its own intimate and personal atmosphere.
The Great Hall, in which the EBBC competition will take place, has a unique, octagonal auditorium with world-famous acoustics and character. It is located on the ground floor and has 1717 seats.
The Final of the Soloist Competition will take place in Hertz. This hall is designed for spoken word and chambermusic. Hertz is fully made of wood which gives this hall a warm look and feel. The intimate shape of the hall makes it very suitable for solo performances.
The purple coloured Pandora is a hall ideally suited for parties and events like our Brass Party. It is a located on the 7th floor of TivoliVredenburg. From here everyone can enjoy a maje
stic view of Utrecht. People who want to have a more quiet chat and drink can go to the violet coloured Pandora foyer located directly underneath Pandora.

ZIMIHC theater Zuilen will host the Utrecht Brass Conference, the try-out concerts during the Utrecht Brass Weekend and the first and second rounds of the Soloist Competition. This theatre is situated in the middle of the district Zuilen in Utrecht and offers a professional theatre, which can host about 220 visitors. ZIMIHC theatre Zuilen is one out of three theatres ZIMIHC is running in the city of Utrecht. It is located between two renovated school buildings from the 1920’s. The total venue is named Vorstelijk Complex (Royal Building) and houses a welfare organisation and restaurant The Colour Kitchen as well.

The Akoesticum is the location of the seating auditions and the first rehearsals of the European Youth Brass Band. Akoesticum is an International Performing Arts Training Centre since 2015. It resides in a beautiful 1906 heritage site on the unique historic premises of a former army base. Akoesticum offers the convenience of having high quality rehearsal venues, state-of-the-art equipment, overnight- and catering facilities all in one place.
